My hunch was that the most ancient grape on the planet, Saperavi, would make for a unique union with McLaren Vale’s prized Shiraz. The elixir was covertly blended and like other ‘black operations’ a Pandora’s box of flavor was opened. Seek & embrace the unusual.

Incredibly deep, dark and opaque in the glass. Brooding aromas of mulberry, stewed plum, iodine, bramble, anise and spice. Full bodied, rich and chewy on the palate. Lashings of black fruit, spice, menthol and cedar. The tannins are firm and shapely and the acidity has real ping and shape. A wine to stick away for a few years.
