A full-bodied , dry red wine associating charm and roundness.  It has a deep ruby color and aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis, and dark cherry.

Chateau Merigot develops a complex bouquet putting together black fruit aromas and delicate spicy emanations.

On the palate, it has a smooth texture with flavors of blackberry, dark cherry, and a hint of spice. The tannins are well-integrated and the finish is long, lingering and very expressive. 

This wine is perfect for pairing with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and aged cheeses.
